UniPort Hosts Successful Grant Proposal Writing Workshop

The University of Port Harcourt proudly hosted a highly successful 3-Day Grant Proposal Writing Workshop from 28-30 August 2024. Funded by the Society for Advancement of Management Studies (SAMS) in collaboration with Durham University, UK, the event was a significant milestone in advancing research skills among academics in Rivers State.

Held at the NLNG Centre for Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Engineering, University of Port Harcourt, the workshop was led by distinguished resource persons including Professor Etela, Professor Adesope, Professor Ekunwe, Professor Onoja, and Dr. Esther Fomsi. Their expert guidance provided participants with invaluable insights and practical training on crafting compelling grant proposals.

The Grant Awardees for the workshop, Professor Mercy Ebere Ndubueze-Ogaraku and Professor Adanna Henri-Ukoha from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management played a pivotal role in organizing the event, which saw enthusiastic participation from academics across higher institutions in Rivers State, Nigeria

The workshop was well-attended and met with positive feedback from participants, who expressed eagerness to apply their newly acquired skills to secure research funding and enhance their visibility in the global research arena.
